Intro

BIRKENSTOCK is a global lifestyle brand that is looking for a Manager Payment Operations Europe. The role involves ownership of digital payments and financial services for online stores in Europe, as well as the strategic expansion of payment methods. The responsibilities include reviewing and optimizing core KPIs, tracking the entire payment process, developing payment processes in collaboration with service providers, evaluating new payment methods, and controlling risk and fraud prevention tools. The ideal candidate should have a university degree or relevant training, at least three years of experience in the operational digital/E-Commerce environment, expert knowledge of payment types and online affinity, proficiency in tools like Excel and Tableau, understanding of processes, strong communication skills, analytical skills, and a holistic entrepreneurial mindset. English skills are required, and German language skills are a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Ownership for Digital Payments and Financial Services for our online stores in Europe (approx. 20 markets) including the strategic expansion of payment (methods) for the end customer
  • Review and optimization of core KPIs and the provider landscape in close cooperation with all relevant internal stakeholders
  • Identification and tracking of KPIs with the aim to monitor the entire payment process
  • Further development of payment processes in close cooperation with the relevant service providers, banks, etc., especially with regard to user experience, customer satisfaction and transaction costs
  • Evaluation of new payment methods and trends in the European context and derivation of recommendations for action for the development of a payment roadmap
  • Controlling, further development and continuous improvement of risk and fraud prevention tools

Anforderungen

  • University degree with a focus on systems / processes or a comparable, relevant training
  • At least three years of professional experience in the operational digital / E - Commerce environment with a focus on business intelligence and digital payment implementation
  • Expert knowledge of payment types and their development as well as a high degree of online affinity and know-how of benchmarking
  • Sound knowledge in the use of tools such as Excel and Tableau; ERP, CRM and OMS system knowledge is advantageous
  • Understanding of processes, strong communication skills and persuasiveness
  • Strong analytical skills and a holistic entrepreneurial mindset
  • Very good English skills; German language skills are a plus
