The position is for the Head of Business Unit - Components of Quantum Technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics IAF. The role involves leading and coordinating research and development projects for quantum technology and optoelectronic applications, with a focus on quantum sensing and computing. The responsibilities include strategic planning, project management, acquisition of new projects, networking, and developing new business models. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field, along with knowledge and experience in semiconductor lasers and quantum technologies. Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and proficiency in German and/or English are required.
