The Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Berlin is seeking a postdoc/scientist in fisheries economics for a project funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research. The project aims to study the reorganization of the commercial fishery for the western Baltic Cod. The postdoc will be responsible for compiling and analyzing vessel-level time series data, publishing results, presenting at conferences, contributing to project reporting, and co-supervising students. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in agricultural economics, environmental economics, fisheries economics, or a related field, a track record of primary publications, strong econometric and statistical skills, ability to lead and finish projects, and good teamwork and self-motivation. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in German is desirable. The position is full-time with a maximum duration of two years. The salary is according to the German salary scheme for the public sector (TVöD Bund) within the E13 page range.
