The Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Berlin is seeking a postdoc/scientist in human dimensions of recreational fisheries. The position is for the Department of Fish Biology, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Research Group Integrative Fisheries Management. The postdoc will be part of an interdisciplinary team studying the reorganization of the recreational fishery for the western Baltic Cod. The main responsibilities include re-surveying recreational anglers, analyzing survey results, publishing findings, presenting at meetings and conferences, and co-supervising students. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in psychology, conservation social science, human dimensions of fisheries/natural resource use/wildlife, environmental science, or a related field. They should have a track record of primary publications and experience in designing and analyzing quantitative surveys. Strong statistical skills, project leadership abilities, and proficiency in English and German are required. The position is full-time with a maximum duration of two years.
