The Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing a technology and development field across various departments, including Research & Development, Technology Management, and Engineering. They actively manage internal interfaces and support the creation of the company's technology roadmap. The role involves developing technical concepts, operational strategies, and solutions for internal and customer projects using proprietary tools or process simulation software. The Technology Manager also evaluates external technologies for integration into the company's own plant concepts or to assess competition potential. Additionally, they provide technological support in the field of regulations and policy. The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or a related field, with a focus on thermodynamics, reaction engineering, and/or the operation of process plants. Experience in developing operational strategies for chemical plants and knowledge of techno-economic analysis methodologies or life cycle assessments are desired. Strong organizational skills, independent work style, and excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English are required.
