The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is working in around 130 countries around the world for clients such as the German Federal Government, international organizations or governments of other countries. The GIZ advises the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) in the Directorate-General S for Crisis Prevention, Stabilisation, Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Assistance with technical and implementation expertise to support the further development of action-oriented approaches in humanitarian assistance as well as the development of tailored management and stabilisation concepts in fragile contexts.
The Humanitarian Assistance Module (HAM) of the Stabilisation Platform (SPF) supports the positioning of the humanitarian units of the GFFO in the international humanitarian system, advises on operational issues and in the development, management and implementation of instruments, concepts and strategies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of German humanitarian assistance.
