Village Data Analytics (VIDA) is a sustainability and impact management software company that enables companies to track their impact across thousands or even millions of locations. They are currently seeking a Founders' Associate to work closely with their co-founders and leadership team to identify and execute strategies for driving growth while staying true to their values and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, driving recruitment and onboarding processes, developing employee policies and procedures, building and maintaining company culture, and participating in marketing and branding efforts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for VIDA's mission and values, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. VIDA offers a competitive compensation package, including the option to work remotely or from their Munich office.


  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies for driving growth and upholding the company's values and mission.
  • Drive the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, including drafting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews.
  • Drive the development of employee policies and procedures, including performance review processes and benefit programs.
  • Help to build and maintain company culture, including by organising team-building events and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Be in touch with the team, understanding their aspirations and concerns. Our team is mostly remote, which requires an innovative, empathetic, creative approach team management.
  • Participate in the development and execution of marketing and branding efforts. We know, it’s a somewhat different ballgame, but if you could also help bring our culture into our design and communication language, that would just be fantastic.
  • Manage small design tasks and/or external designers, copywriters, videographers..
  • Support in external communications (Newsletters, Social Media postings, All-hands updates, company Wiki). You would be working with our fabulous in-house journalist.
  • Communicate with our partners and collaborators to strengthen our network.
  • And, of course, you are always ready to grow and take on new responsibilities, but can say “not now” or “really?”, too.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Experience in marketing, branding, or growth strategy. Ideally even at another startup.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of co-founders, leadership, and employees. This is important in general, but particularly for this role. We need a high dose of emotional intelligence!
  • A passion for VIDA's mission and values, and a commitment to driving positive impact.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done 🏋️
