Remote-working from a European location
The Europe Beyond Coal secretariat is looking for a Human Resource Administrator, responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives, policies and systems, providing HR support to team members, and actively involved in recruiting new staff by managing the hiring process.
Europe Beyond Coal (EBC) is an alliance of civil society groups working to ensure a just transition to a fossil-free, fully renewables-based European energy system so that it protects people and our global climate. It has 20 staff members, seven of which are based in the organisation's office in Berlin while the rest work remotely from a number of European countries (France, Poland, Greece, etc.).
Skills & Experience
Required
- Excellent spoken and written English and German
- At least three years experience in human resource management
- Relevant education, training or professional qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with developing rules and processes related to human resource policies
- Knowledge and/or experience with German employment legislation
- Good understanding of civil society organisations and the non-profit sector
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, especially when responding to queries by colleagues
- Strong administrative and organisation skills, ability to prioritise and excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in using Google productivity tools (Docs, Slides, Calendar, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion through continuous development, and proactively managing bias
- Strong interpersonal skills; preference for working in a multi-cultural team and actively contributing to a healthy, climate-friendly and fair society.
Desirable
- Knowledge of employment legislation of other European countries
- Knowledge of other European languages, especially French
- Understanding of energy and climate campaigning.
