Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the National Resources Management Officer; and direct supervision of the Senior Human Resources Assistant, the HR Assistant provides human resources and administrative support as follows:
In line with the IOM procedures and local regulations, reviews and implements changes in the National Social Security Scheme, reviews changes of salary scale for
local staff and calculates new IOM salary scales according to set procedures and informs Health Insurances about changes;
University degree in HR, labor law, Business or Public Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with at least two years of relevant professional experience, preferably in similar roles;
OR
Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with at least four years of relevant working experience, preferably in similar roles.
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of German is preferred and knowledge of another official IOM language (French, Spanish) is an advantage.
