Intro

The Senior DevOps Engineer for Energy Solutions position is a full-time opportunity with inno2grid Digital Solutions, based in Berlin. The company operates as the digital solution center for Schneider Electric and develops innovative software products for the energy and mobility segments. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for developing and operating a CI/CD pipeline for a cloud-based energy management system with thousands of connected IoT edge devices. They will also design and implement software modules on these devices in close cooperation with the product manager and system architect. The ideal candidate should have several years of professional experience in DevOps engineering for distributed and scalable solutions, virtuosity in dealing with Linux and common DevOps technologies, and sound knowledge of IT networks and network security. Aufgaben

Develop and operate a CI/CD pipeline for secure, robust and scalable IoT solutions in the cloud
Deployment and orchestration of containers for testing and productive use of customised software in hybrid environments
Design and implementation of approaches for automated testing of security, scalability and robustness of developed solutions (non-functional testing)
Design and implementation of solutions for an energy management system in an agile scrum team in direct interaction with Product Manager and System Architect
Programming and integration of software modules on IoT edge devices
Working in the context of an Information Security Management System (ISMS)

Anforderungen

Completed studies in computer science or a comparable course of study
Several years of professional experience in DevOps engineering for distributed and scalable solutions
Virtuosity in dealing with Linux and common DevOps technologies, especially for containerisation and orchestration, such as Docker, Kubernetes or Ansible
Sound knowledge of IT networks and network security
Good knowledge of higher programming languages (e.g. Python or C#)
Knowledge of MS Azure and experience in agile software development according to scrum methodology processes are advantageous
Strong analytical skills, solution-oriented thinking
Experience and previous knowledge in the energy industry would also be welcome
Very good knowledge of English
High level of commitment, reliability and willingness to organise oneself
