Intro

Sunhero, a residential solar energy company, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing client-side and server-side architecture, collaborating with the development team to develop new features and fix ongoing issues, and building responsive web applications. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience working as a frontend engineer, strong knowledge of React, CSS, and APIs, and experience with Jest, Cypress, and/or other testing frameworks. Aufgaben

Design client-side and server-side architecture
Collaborate with development team to efficiently develop new features and fix ongoing issues
Collaborate with UX and UI designers to develop functional requirements and wireframes into specific features
Analyse, model, and build responsive web applications
Write clean and maintainable code that is easy to understand and reuse
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Be able to autonomously work on all stages of software development; model, implementation, and delivery
Be able to establish new architecture guidelines to create sustainable architecture patterns and guide others to utilize them
Actively and constantly works with the team to improve their workflow processes to increase their outcome
Tackle new challenges and learn new technologies without being afraid to make mistakes along the way
Guide less experienced peers through difficult challenges
Be proactive while developing and take responsibility for the projects you are working on
Multiply the skills of other team members by sharing knowledge

Anforderungen

5+ years of experience working as a frontend engineer
3+ years of experience working with React, strong knowledge of its design patterns and best practices. Experience with Next.js and Typescript is also a plus
Strong knowledge of git and git workflows
Strong knowledge of CSS
Strong experience with webpack and other JS packaging solutions
Deep understanding of APIs and how they integrate with websites and applications
Strong experience with Jest, Cypress, and /or other testing frameworks.- Demonstrated experience with REST APIs
Hands-on experience with Storybook is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with TDD is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with CSS in JS (Styled components or Material UI) is a strong plus
Knowledge of computer theory and algorithms
Familiarity with Python, and NoSQL databases and knowledge of cloud computing platforms is a plus
Responsive web design experience and presentation layer concepts
Interest in design and user experience
Used to work with Scrum agile principles and methodologies
Previous experience in a tech startup is highly desirable
A strong motivation to have a positive impact on the planet and to change the way people think about energy production
