Senior PR Manager - DACH Region

Berlin, Germany

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste.

Why? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. Did you know that 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss alone?

As the world’s largest food waste-fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it.

So far we’ve amassed a community of 68 million users in 17 countries that have saved more than 182 million meals from going to waste together. We are incredibly proud of this, but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

That’s why we’re more than an app: we are also a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste too.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but did we mention the issue is huge? We are expanding our team as we speak. And that’s where you come in:

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior PR Manager to join the superstar global PR & communications team at Too Good To Go.

Your mission:

The Senior PR Manager will lead our Too Good To Go PR and communications strategy, team and efforts to serve as a strategic enabler of the business across Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Poland, helping to drive overall brand valuation and positive reputation externally. To break through in today's busy working environment, ultra-cluttered agenda and media/social media environments, there is a clear advantage to company storytelling being narrative-driven versus ad-hoc and episodic, for external purposes.

The Senior PR Manager will also support overseeing the work on Social Media (with FTE, agencies and other resources) in the 4 countries.

  • Lead the strategic development of an enterprise corporate communications strategy with "always on" media and storytelling engines.
  • Provide a strong and stable (always on) communications counsel to regional and local leaders and business key stakeholders and activate diverse voices through a strategic spokesperson matrix to amplify company stories to build brand value; create custom narratives through a combination of earned and owned media, speaking and social channels.
  • Develop compelling and inspiring stories that articulates our vision of leading the future of sustainable living, instilling confidence and belief in TGTG short, mid and long-term strategy..
  • Guide our storytelling efforts to a wide range of audiences in the 4 markets business partners, regulators, media stakeholders, social media users and consumers adding clarity and consistency to our business strategy, enhancing and protecting our brand and driving our reputation.

  • Lead teams and communications strategies in support of business growth, while managing ongoing issues and reputation risks (crises, regulatory, legal, etc.)

Inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

What we do

We're a social impact company fighting food waste.

Did you know that fighting food waste is the number one way to solve climate change? Yet as it stands, we waste more than ⅓ of food globally. Our app lets people save unsold food from shops and restaurants - but it also powers our wider efforts to shake up the global food system, and spark a food-waste-fighting movement.

Business with purpose

Our B Corp status means you can expect fair wages, a healthy environment, high working standards, and a job that gives more to the planet than it takes.

Diversity, equity & inclusion

Everyone should be heard in the fight against climate change. Our management team is 50% women - but we’re working to ensure diverse identities are reflected across all levels.

Global team

Expand your horizons by working closely with talented people from all over the world, learning from different countries and cultures to do the best work of your life.

Great colleagues

Good causes attract good people. Spend your working hours with like-minded colleagues, working towards the common goal of making the world a better place.

Our team is always growing, and we need passionate people in all fields. Whether it’s sales, public affairs, or food waste education, Waste Warriors are happy to work in Too Good To Go. There's strong support for our mission, the culture company fit, and Too Good To Go value.

Bring your whole self to work

At Too Good to Go I have found a unique workplace that combines building a healthy business with solving a really important challenge for society. Here we are allowed and encouraged to bring our whole selves to work, and we are valued and respected for who we are. It is truly a place where you find opportunities to grow regardless of your individual traits, who you are or where you come from.

We raise the bar everyday

Before joining the Global team I have been the Spanish Head of Sales and Key Accounts. I am very proud of that experience and especially proud of my former team in Madrid and Barcelona. Too Good To Go has offered me the possibility of leading a large sales crew in difficult times such as 2020 and 2021. But also to be part of a great family that fights together against food waste.

I love working at Too Good To Go

I love working at Too Good To Go! We are very focused on what we need to do to have an impact in the world, and it's an amazing feeling having everyone pulling in the same direction to accomplish something extraordinary. It's a high-energy environment filled with great people and big ambition, and I'm so glad that I get to be a part of this journey.
