Domi Labs is seeking an experienced software engineer with leadership experience, who is eager for the opportunity to be an additional Technical Co-founder as part of an early-stage startup.

Domi Labs (domilabs.io) is a digital identity startup developing a digital passport for workflow automation
- starting with the housing rental market. Using a next-generation web3 technology, Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), we are establishing a universal, simple and privacy preserving way to exchange identity, financial and credit data without needing to share sensitive paperwork.
Domi Labs was founded in 2019 by a female CEO, committed to diversity and is a proud contributor to the decentralised identity community. About the Role
Domi Labs is at an exciting and pivotal stage. We have refined our value proposition, developed an early version of Domi, established a pipeline of interested first partners, and are positioning to commence pilot testing in 2023.
To enhance our strength as a technology company, we are expanding our founding team. This is where you shine!
We are seeking a technical leader to work in close partnership with our existing technical co-founder to shape and co-own the technical vision of the company.
In this role, you will be the primary person responsible for product delivery and day-to-day technical operations at Domi. Accordingly, the role will entail both hands-on coding tasks and management, such as the recruitment and leading of developer teams.
Responsibilities nclude:
- Developing and executing Domi's company strategy, alongside the other founders
- Technical leadership role - ownership of day-to-day development activity
- Leading the delivery of core components and infrastructure of the product
- Leading the scouting of talent and growth of our technical team
- Direct involvement in hands-on coding
Our team structure allows for remote working with regular meetups in Berlin. Our working language is English, and our working time zone is CEST.
Who You Are
As a Technical Co-founder, you will need to be both a 'big picture thinker' and execution-oriented. Our ideal candidate is someone with a mix of leadership and hands-on coding abilities. We're looking for someone who's a fast learner, proactive, an out-of-the-box problem solver, and has a solid intuition for and understanding of business.
Our current co-founders, Katrie & Pavel, are in their mid-30s with previous careers. We're looking for someone with a similarly rich life experience, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and prepared for the inherently challenging nature of building a startup.

Critical Skills:
- 7+ years in tech
- Experience with all stages of designing, implementing and delivering modern web applications understanding the life-cycle of a software product
- Must have hands-on coding experience with: Typescript, React(-native), Java/Clojure, AWS, Docker, CI/CD, DevOps
- Interest and/or understanding of cryptography and decentralised systems
- Communication: comfortable explaining complex technical concepts simply
- Leadership: experience with the hiring, management, and direction of developer teams
