Job Description

As UX&UI Designer you will work on complex problems in delivering renewable energy solutions: Start with the customer experience and work backward from developing a deep understanding of your users‘ journey, their pain points, and jobs-to-be-done, to researching new concepts around local energy optimization.

At Enpal, while being an ambassador for the user in the organization, your tasks will be

• Design. Collect feedback by facilitating interviews and workshops to analyze problems. Establish and drive design processes and methodologies within your team and beyond. Effectively communicate design choices & direction to multiple stakeholders.
• Customer Centricity. – You make sure that the actual needs of the users are addressed.
• Team. Join a newly established, empowered, and cross-functional product development team of talented and passionate individuals from different backgrounds. Collaborate continuously with product managers and engineers to design and build a product that our customers love. Participate in all phases of the product, from discovery to delivery to iteration.
• Defining requirements. Drive product discovery in a structured, continuous and collaborative manner. Conduct user research and user testing.
• Prototypes. Validate and communicate your ideas by creating early UX mockups and prototypes at the end of your projects for user feedback.
• Culture. Change ideas and with designers from other teams to make sure we we speak the same design language

Qualifications

We are looking for roughly a 50% fit with for what we ask. The other 50% is a surprise to us, it is the magic you bring to the table and the diversity in which you make us grow.

• You have a passion for identifying problems and coming up with smart solutions through iteration and research together with your team.
• You have over 5 years of experience in building customer-centric applications
• Doing product discovery, user research, concept development in lean and agile environments is something you have done frequently
• Experience with UI Mockups, Wireframing and Prototyping and high-fidelity handover documents (Figma or other tools)
• Experience with working on a design system is a plus
• Proficiency in current visual design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Vision, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch or similar)
• Knowledge in Frontend technologies (e.g. HTML/CSS) is a plus
• agile and lean values are embodied by you. People over processes. Code over documentation. Reducing waste by building minimum viable products first, testing it with real users, growing and maintaining solutions as requirements evolve.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English, working knowledge of German is a bonus
